plan B is to be implemented. slk boy says there is a park nearby menlo mall (menlo park?) that may be a less consumerish place to meet. i'm ok w/ that.

let's get a final tally for the meet (i hate to even propose a choice for fear of more indecision... ):
sept. 21 - 11am at menlo park or sept. 22 - 11am at menlo park.

lunch at TNat's favorite deli? or another place to be recommended by slk boy.

some people may want to head down to the car show (sunday) or make a bear run run afterwards.

let's nail down the time/date by Sunday - 8pm EST.

slk boy says there are more restaurants closer to rooselvelt park and he scared me w/ a warning about new brunswick...

anyway, i thought we'd meet and get some lunch. if people are interested in a bbq and some sort of activity (sporty)- let me know. slk boy says that johnson park is better for that. if we want to just meet - relax, chat (can i make it sound more boring? ), and grab some food at a local place, rooselvelt park is better.

i have the maps w/ the lots located - shouldn't be a problem.

A few years back, I was driving down George St. at about 2 am on my way home. Stopped at a light near Handy and got a Gatorade bottle tossed through my driver's side window.

I took 12 stitches to my left wrist to sew up the damage.

Are you guys members of MBCA? I just received the latest issue of "The Star," and I have noticed that on Sept. 21st, MBCA Northern NJ members are having a picnic & autoshow in Hopewell, NJ, which is, I think, in Sussex county (there's another Hopewell in Mercer County). Free food? Car show? Wanna crash the party?

I've never heard of a 2nd Hopewell. I only know the one down here, which is right next to Princeton.

Where is the other one?

The other one is off of Rte. 80 in Sussex county, near Lake Hopatcong. I tend to thing that's the one they mean, since this is the Northern Jersey section, but I don't know. I e-mailed the contact person for the event. I'll keep you posted.

Hey! I'm a member of that section. I didn't even notice it. Isn't it an old car show or something?

MBCA events scare me - I get an image of an old fart with an ascot driving a 40-year-old MB to the events. Gives me shivers.

there are other people that have confirmed that they can attend the edison meet on the 21 or 22nd. w/ the meet only 2 weekends away, i'm hesistant changing the location right now. unless almost everyone agrees to a change or is indifferent to the exact location.

not sure where hopewell is; if it is close to edison, i think that would be ok. but if it is closer to princeton, it would be good for me, but not sure about others coming from further north. i was told that there is a school in Princeton so maybe they have a big lot or something also. is mbca open to non-members just showing up?

anyway, i still say, we just pin down the date - by my count 3 people have said the 21st, and 1 has said 22nd. everyone else is open to either date.

Anyway, Tommy, I have to go to the MBCA meet to check out the old farts with ascots; since I'm single now, I figure I'll go for a geezer who can barely get it up and therefore won't cheat on me...
