Nah this year we are free, next year I do have some MAJOR plans for the event that will prolly cost some money, BUT the event should be SIGNIFICANTLY HOTTER... Compared to an AMG challenge

Advice- get there early - Since they wouldnt let me park my car in the presidents spot last year, I had to park along the curb with all the other late comers. So much for going down the shore this weekend.

Just got off the phone with Rob Allan. For those of you who Will be at the Park Ridge Marriott on Friday, early in the day, Rob has extended an invite to have a drink with us at the hotel lounge. For those of you going to the hotel on Friday, please let me know what time you will be there

you'll all have to forgive the broken right foglight from a rock and the one huge rockchip called my front bumper... 
oh, but edit, how can I forget to mention. The new custom built one of a kind 17" Kinesis K57R rims (17" so I stop bending them!) are being overnighted to me so I have them for the meet!

17" huh? how light are those things gonna be? Hey you ever quarter miled your car? If so how'd ya do? I pulled a 13.6 @ 105 with the cayenne. bone stock by the way.

(This is my first "event").....On Saturday (26th) what exactly is going to be going on at the MB headquarters, as in things to do and other things to know about the event, also will MB provide some cars to test out / drive around...and some cars to sit in and check out etc etc...also is there food and stuff provided

They won't be nearly as light as the OZs on now. Before the refurbishment... With 18" drums, they were something like 24 lb front and 25 lb rear. I bought the stickiest Dunlops instead of my fav Potenza SO-3s to save a few pounds off the real HP sap, that being of course all that rubber spinning outside of the rims. Pilot Sport PS2s are the lightest by even a few pounds more; I just cant get past how I understeered right into a curb with the original stock Pilots Sports when I only had 5K on the car to buy some again no matter how updated the tires may be...
Click my sig pic and go to my "slammed @ the beach" album (ya, I know it's not 'that' low to call it 'slammed'). I'll be using the same centers, but polished, then dark anodize, but instead of a stepped lip for an 18" drum they're using reverse 17" drums they never release to the public. This should give me more sidewall so I hopefully won't bend'm as long as I keep 35 or more lbs of air in the tires...

No 1/4 mile yet for me but given my measured dyno run, weight, gearing, and Carl who did the engine swap before me and did run his in the 1/4, I expect about 2 to 3 ticks (tenths) over 13. That's awesome for a big'ol SUV, but that is a kick-*** vehicle.

Fellas, someone REALLY doesnt want me to go to this event. First the huge bump in the road that destroyed my fog light and mesh grill. Now I go to my car to unlock the doors and nothing happens. I pushed the unlock button 678939346473 times and nothing happens. Only the lock and trunk release work. I tried the metal key to open the door and for some reason the key wont turn! I had to pop the trunk, fold down the rear seats and crawl to the front of the car. Then turn on the car and open the doors. I either have to leave the windows down all the time or crawl through the trunk every time. Needless to say, I will be going to the dealer in the a.m. to order a new key . If I dont make it, you all have fun.

it better not rain though
it looked like rain here, very overcast and foggy... then the sun broke through and now it looks fine out.
