Okay I am really interested in getting a NYC area MB/MB-AMG/BMW meet going... I would really love to see all of your beautiful cars.

I live a little ways east in Long Island, but I don't mind going anywhere within the NYC vicinity.

This one guy from the W221 forum wen to the Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn with some people, it's basically a defunct airport field with a 2 mile long straight and smooth runway. See his thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w221/169597-pictures-sunday-drive.html

That or Roosevelt Field or any other mall parking lot that is not full.

We can also do the meet in one of the parking lot fields at Jones Beach, Robert Moses, etc... I am open for anything. It's got to be on the weekends though.

We can spend some time check out the cars, bull**** a little what ever, then if everyone's up for it we can go to a restaurant or a diner or something like that for a bite to eat.

now now ... it hardly rained Saturday. I live pretty far out on LI, but stayed in our NYC apartment the night before and went from there. That was cake compared to the guys from MD, MA, RI, and one from GA! ...your car would have looked nice in this line-up.

Hey im in if its sunday the 19 early, i have a wedding that night, and in down to run skyler with the m5 vs a stock e55 to any speeds and put some questions to rest and i am also willing to run jody with his pulley and see how much of a difference asp puts out!!! let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we go at 11, you have until 2, trust me we will not be out there until 3, I will probably be there at 11 till 2, that gives you 3 hours of pure racing, i'd say that is enough time for all our test...lol!

Woah woah woah...I've been to this place before. You guys are right, it is a looong straightaway and its wide open. HOWEVER, when I went there my friends were racing with there sentras and altimas (it was a Nissan meet and my buddies had nissans so I went with them, they didnt want me to embarrass them so I didnt take my car). After the races, we started noticing a whole bunch of chips on windshields and bumpers. There are a lot of little rocks that fly up while racing. You gotta be real careful you don't get chips or pop a tire. I also heard that police patrol this area in both cars and helicopters. Its still a sick place and probably the only stretch of road that you can get some serious speed on. But I'd just be careful if I were you guys, I won't take my car out there. But...you can take some nice pics by the water.
