Toronto - Gymkhana - Oct 21st 2006
Once again the Toronto Section of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America is hosting their annual fall Gymkhana and we invite members to participate in the fun and competition.
This year it will be held on Saturday October 21st 2006 at 9am at The Powerade Centre in Brampton (hwy #410 and steeles avenue).
For those of you who don't know what a Gymkhana is, this is your chance to see what you and your car can do in a safe controlled environment. All cars will be placed in two categories; sedan/wagons and coupe/convertibles. Each driver will have multiple runs through two courses. The combined best times from each course will be your total time and the best time in each category will win. The Speed course will have you navigating through tight slaloms and hairpins. The Skills course requires you to stop, start and reverse through pylon gates all while having a cup of water on your hood. Penalties are applied for hit pylons and spilled water. This course is bigger and better than last year.
Morning snacks and lunch will be provided. The event will run until approximately 2pm and there will be prizes and giveaways. A $30 nominal fee applies for each driver to defray expenses.
So bring out your antique, daily driver or show car and join in this safe and fun morning of man-and-machine vs the stop-watch. Spectators are welcome.

hope to see you all there.
