... Yes, it the Real Deal Brabus 7.3 motor...... with 530 hp & 530 tq...
..INSANE POWER..... nothing like the 55K......Too much power for that body, I almost crash that car....
.... You can't floor the car off the start or it will smoke the tires and spin 360...
.... So now it belong to Mike..... He giving a good home.....
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I wish I could be there, but I am temporarily staying here in St. Louis due to my career move. Most of you may not remember me but I attended few meetings last couple of years with white W126 (sry, mine was not modified…not even in good condition). I sold W126, and got W140 in blk.
Anyway, I realized the power of SoCal GTG today when I googled around web at work.
I just typed “Mercedes-Benz” then clicked “W124” in Wikipedia. Please take a close look at the picture describing E500-group, and it seems like the picture from one of meetings we had.

Can’t wait go back to SoCal. Until then…
The Brabus SL73 (530bhp and 530lb/ft torque), unlike the AMG, comes with tuned suspension, and upgraded 4-piston brake calipers, along with the 18" wheels and other interior and exterior upgrades. Brabus is the only Mercedes
after-market company registered in Germany as a "manufacturer", not a tuner,
so IMHO you could consider the Brabus an "actual SL73" along with AMG(since AMG SL73 was built when AMG was an independent tuner).
Don't know how many Brabus versions were made either, most likely a much smaller volume than AMG.
Since all the versions are after-market SL600's, you could also consider the Renntech version as an "actual SL74".
Mike & Mary (m&m's Red Brabus SL73)

Thank you for your opinion and insights. That's not necessarily the information I received from the AMG Moderators and AMG Techs on the Private Lounge.

Tony, your awesome Brabus Silver Arrow is anything but a down grade, truly a cut above!
Thanks, Mike

But your Brabus 7.3 with the panoramic roof is awesome
And those of you in this forum interested on an east cost tri-state meet, PM me also so I can start gathering heads for a spring meet.
Can't wait to here about your next meet, I'm definetly going to arrange time to come out for that and rep the east cost MB enthusiasts (along with a little top-notch partying).
P.S. Big tease on this forum... the NY/NJ/CT area is known as the tri-state area also, so I guess everytime someone from here sees TRI-STATE MEET, they think east coast.
Vote:
1. Cuba
2. Afghanistan
3. Affalterbach, Germany
My vote is for #3.
sometimes referred to as a "kubelwagen"
thanks to the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Irvine for this fine specimen !

Or is it a SL600 that was turned into a 7.3? They only made the SL73 for 3 years and my understanding is that not many, if any came to the US.
