Can I get a NY'er and a CT'er to be in charge of setting up caravans?

thanks for the compliment. and...no... I don't ever plan on selling it unless someone offers me a rediculous sum of money. Just got done with 4 months of restoration. I got alot of blood, sweat and tears in this baby. not to mention, $$$.
It appears to be faster than it should be after talking with some benz enthusiasts. I have to do some digging to find out why. They tell me it shouldn't be pulling 0-60 mph in 6.4 secs. so, it must have had some work done to it before I got the car. Not really sure what to look at first. the cams looked stock when I had the valve covers off last time. maybe it had some headwork done or maybe someone stroked it. I'll let ya know what I come up with though. It has me very curious now.

I really shouldn't take the SL; in the year I owned it, timing chain went from silent a year ago to screaming for a few seconds on start-up; right head's leaking oil something fierce on the right and I'm sure I'm losing compression; at least once a tank it inexplicably shuts down on me no matter stopped or cranking down the road, and I have to hope I can coast somewhere and stop for a bit before it'll restart... the list goes on ... and on.
hopefully the C will be back in order within the month. gotta figure out if I should make this an outing with the wifie, (then it begs the question what about the 3 dogs?)... Solo is always dangerous for me; dunno how to act my age when left to my own devices....
...So anyone taking a significant other?
