Yeah, I'm gonna make it this time!

Is the 128 Rest Area north of the Waltham exits? (Winter St, Rt. 16). I don't mind making the drive up north and back down.

If the Boston area crew can get their schit together we may plan on stopping just before crossing the bridge to the island. Great spot for some photos and also a great spot for din din if we want to later, after the gtg. AMG supper club has met there many many times. The spot is just off rt 24, Boat Yard Resturant down on the river. Last exit before the bridge.

Don't underestimate the fun of driving in a convoy with fellow car nutz. It's worth it sometimes to go a bit out of way, hell, a bunch of us are driving north to get to the rt 24 hook up point. Some from as far south as Newport and Ct. too!

Hell Yeah. I've got a full day of driving scheduled. Northern CT down to Newport....up to rt 24....then back down to Newport.

every hotel and inn for 25 miles around is booked for the weekend of the 14th!

Look for hotels in the Middleboro, Ma area and you will have a short drive to the Rt 24 hookup point. Try Fallriver, Ma also.

Scouted out the rt 24 hookup point today. For those coming south on 495 you will need to get on 24 north and turn around at the next exit(MIDDLEBORO) to get to the southbound rest area. There are a lot of tractor trailer lanes when you first pull in to the stop. Not sure if these will be full or not. If they are then take the spaces just south of them, the parking spaces furthest away from the buldings. Those are usually mostly empty.
