yep. i'm sticking with OEM. reason being, i couldnt get confirmation from anyone on whether the fenders and hood would fit the car. if they dont fit i am stuck with the bill and wait at least an extra month to get my car back. it was a risk i wasnt willing to make. i tried =\

yeah bro. believe it. mostly downtown driving. i only live 22 clicks from work and it's a 35-45 min communte each morning. i fill up every week and i hardly drive on the weekends to boot. i only get about 300 clicks on the PT cruiser right now! i dont know that that has but it feels like a tercel.
I get 12.0/100km (that's what it says on the screen anyway... for the last 3000 km)
SO I get 500 km per tank? (tank = 60~ liters)

Um... I get 550+km regularly, 640km was my record. Then again I'm always easy on the throttle and brakes. My front pads also lasted 56000km before the sensor went, though there is still an easy 3-4mm left of material.Originally Posted by vinci313

Doesn't look like I can make it. You boys have fun. Damn, Squamish would be fun, though the cops would probably be out in force. Stupid speed limits.
Terrence, I was just at my buddy's place (he lives at 6th + Pine) and I looked out the window and saw your C55 man, parked next to another wrecked W203 and a wrecked E90. Looks like they took off the fenders though the hood is still all crunched up (ouch!). Any word on when you're getting your wheels back?

i guess it's my driving style that results in bad fuel economy, but it's something i can't change. i just can't help it. me =

you must do a lot of highway driving or dont come across many traffic jams.. i'd be lucky to get more than 350km.Originally Posted by Cloudz

14cue, vinci, sky: yes I actually do get 500 km per 60 liters
And I don't actually drive on the highway all that often, usually Richmond streets, the highway to UBC, and a bit of Vancouver.
But for those of you who live in Vancouver/Downtown/Burnaby, you guys have a lot more hills than Richmond... it's flat over here... so maybe that's the difference
But here's a shot:

I don't even get 440. I don't think the computer is accurate anyway. You should really fill to the top and drive it almost to the end just to get the real figure.
My W202 C280 had 480km/tank no problem..but W203 has trouble even getting 440.

No, here's a tip, don't do that.Originally Posted by sky

Don't fill your tank to the top. I fill it half way all the time. Before your fuel gets used up, it is nothing more than dead weight. More weight = more fuel consumption. 30 Liters is a lot of weight

true you might get more efficiency that way, but for a good comparison test you need to apply consistent method. I guess we could just fill it to the half each time it empties but it is hard to know how much exact money to put into the 30L mark as gas price flunctuates....and if you apply inconsistent gas input, it is hard to judge the real figure of what you are really getting out of your car.....that's why filling to the top seems to be a good test because u know you starts at full....that's how i know i got 480 from W202 anyway and that's the same method i use for the W203. Sucks how the W203 wastes more gas, granted it has more power but at the same time technology improves so the engine should be more fuel efficient than the '99 W202 ...so the very least is expect the sameOriginally Posted by Cloudz

Maybe I will do it once to test, but we all have the same computer on our cars, so even if it's not accurate, it should be relatively accurate.Originally Posted by sky

But I will see how much I get with one tank.
Oh and btw, you can actually tell them to put in exactly 30 Liters

i never tried that, i will ask if it is possible, but again if you want to put 30, you have to make sure your tank is almost emptied out at the very bottom for consistency....Originally Posted by Cloudz

A couple us from Vancouver Euros has been thinking of getting some work done at MB EuroMotors. They do have a website (mbeuromtors.com I think...). their rates are about the same as the dealers though, but they seem more intune with performance mods.Originally Posted by crazyfox
