i think lots of people

because they feel strange showing up
to a meet where they dont know anyone ...

perhaps it should be clarified that
we dont all know each other ...

(including myself which i only know 2 people)

and that having friends or knowing half the people
there is not a requirement

 

That seems to be a concern EVERY SINGLE time we have a Meet Sign-up !

For the most part, we don't know everyone on all of the disparate Mercedes-Benz online forums. This is not an MBWorld friends only Meet. This is an overall Mercedes-Benz community meet, where we meet up to "Meet" other MB enthusiasts. If it were just "friends" or "regulars" only, then we wouldn't advertise and open it up to entire free MB world. Check other online MB forums... I have posted this up in at least 15 different online MB forums. We all have one thing in common, and it's the shiny star on the front of your car ! So, if you don't know anyone, more reason to show up and see what your car brand is all about ! Just ask anyone who has been to one of these Saprissa MB Meets before, and they'll tell you how many new friends they've made, and how much info they found out about their car !

So, all of you who don't know anyone and haven't signed up, here's your opportunity to MEET fellow MB owners and have a really good time !

Since it's Saprissa's 5th Annual Rosebowl meet, we'll be having something commemorative at the event available to only those IN ATTENDANCE (friends and family count). But it will be a CUSTOM LIMITED EDITION thing. I believe we'll have a central check-in booth at the event just to get everyone to be in one place, but anyway this may involve the photography of you/your vehicle (ultimately your decision of course).

If anything, don't come broke - bring the smiles and the waxed cars. See ya'll then!

 

I'm new myself to this whole thing.

I want to go to check out some rides, get some ideas and who know maybe some of these guys/gals may have some really good connections for aftermarket and OEM parts and even advice on your car and model.

I live in Anaheim, I have 2 co-workers that want to go, an '04 C230K and a '00 E320, I myself drive a '94 W124 E320. These guys I know, aren't as an enthusiast as I am. But they show the spirit to see other MBZ owner's like myself and many people on this board and various other boards online and throughout the world with their MOD's OEM or AFTERMARKET.

I have for FREE: a lanyard and a Rock Concert type ticket holder for everyone that wants one. What you do is print out (in color preferably) a 5x7 (vertical) sheet of paper with your online Screen-Name / your real name (optional) / & Year-Model of car you drive. That way people can associate you with your screen-name and with your car.

I tried this a few meets before, and not everyone brought their print-out.

So, that's there if you want it. Just find me " SAPRISSA " at the meet, and I'll get you your FREE Lanyard & Holder. You can wear it at every MB Meet.

I'm coming from Reedley lol. It's about a half hour from Fresno. I'm leaving EARLY Saturday morning with one of my buddies. Want to join us for the ride at about 6AM? lol

 

Wait, just in case I missed something do we have to pay anything such as parking fees,etc?I don't want to come forgeting my wallet.

 

SAPRISSA MB Meets are always free....
however there will be people probably selling souvenirs, t-shirts, etc...
and you never know what new toy you may find for your car that someone may have for sale, so it's entirely up to you how much money you want to bring. The Meet itself is free. No admission charge, no fees.

Also, most of us caravan over to a local restaurant for food & drinks afterwards, so if you want to join all of us, just bring a little extra cash for yourself.

Have you considered sorting the list by chasis number?

 

Agreed 100% if you're hesitating to go because your new to the MB community, don't know any members or think your MB isn't anything special your wrong. These meets a very laid back not competitive. Nobody will be judging who's ride is better since they are all great. Its a chance to meet alot of great people with a common interest. I was the same way when I 1st got my car and didn't show up to these until I started modding it and posting regularly. I regret it since I missed out on those great meets. My 1st meet I rolled up solo and it was great experience. Now I have been showing up to them all to meet alot of great people and learn alot. Sure we drive Mercedes but we aren't snobs. BTW Carlos meets always have the best turnout.

I would recomend joining a caravan near you that way you already meet a couple of regulars that you can chill with when you arrive at the rosebowl. We usually have the following caravans.

- San Diego Caravan to....
- Central California Caravan to.....
- Las Vegas, NV Caravan to....
- Diamond Bar / West Covina / Rowland Heights Caravan to....
- South Orange County Caravan to....

As always their will be plenty of friendly members at the meet that will ask you about your car and will be more than willing to answer any questions you may have and talk about their car.

If you think those cars look good on your computer screen wait till you see them in person Plus it always great to put faces to screennames.

we do that as we get closer to the date of the meet.
I track sign-ups from 15+ online MB forums on an Excel spreadsheet, so right now it's still in the works.
