just 1/8th and you really need a dragster to compete with these guys. I would say there was 700 cars maybe more. 1 AMG 63. Folks really enjoy seeing the big benz line up against 700 hp Cobras. I won 3/4, but the one I lost made my car look like it was standing still. Lady ran a 7 second 1/8th mile at 100 mph. Course she was lighter and had 150 more hp. I waxed the 3(stock) mustangs that lined up with me had a good .5 on them. One stang I beat by almost a full second. They all had to be stock cause the modified Cobras were doing 7.3-5@104 Pretty scary. Made me want a TWIN TURBO badly for the 63.

Nice work! Irwindale is a swell destination on an otherwise unexciting Thursday night. Last time out, with emrliquidlife, we enjoyed a fine evening. Got to the stripe first on three of our four runs. Could have easily had a couple more chances, but Friday call is dark thirty.
I’m no '63
, but nobody within earshot gave us any smack for doing the deed in a MB. No doubt, the paddock is quite a ethnically and economically diverse group of motorheads. However, we were all there to get after it in a safe, controlled environment. It is just good people, with mutual interest in hauling ***.
Have a mod (or two!) I’m itching to measure and document. Can’t hardly wait to get back!
