Join your fellow AMG drivers for a safe and fun track day at Willow Springs on September 8th. Professional instructors will be on hand to help track new comers or provide pointers to the regulars. The day will start out with a mandatory drivers meeting to review the track rules. A class room session will follow for the novice drivers while the advance run group heads out to the 2.5 mile road course with 9 turns, long straights and the opportunity to drive their AMG at speeds close to 150mph! In between run groups drivers will have instructor led sessions on the Skid Pad. No down time, no waiting for your run groups next track session:

You will be pushing your AMG to the limit the entire day!

Plan to arrive at the Essex House Friday September 7th by 7pm for hors d’oeuvres and a no host bar so you can meet your fellow AMG owners and talk with the instructors. We will also be giving away prizes on Friday night. Track arrival is scheduled for 7am on Saturday morning to complete check in and get a bite to eat (not included in price). Drivers meeting will start at 8:00am and then the track becomes available for the first run group. This is not wheel to wheel racing, rather the opportunity to improve your driving skills and exercise the power of your AMG in a safe environment. Lunch will be served at noon. Last run group will finish about 4:30pm.

Is there anybody going to this track event? Anybody know if it's still going ahead as planned. The reason I'm asking is the previous planned date in June never worked out, but I'm still interested in attending a track day event in SoCal. I'm a newbie at the track, so I just want to learn in a group with more experienced drivers.

This track day is still going on details are below. We have 15 people registered and another 6 who I think will be waiting until the last minute. There are a lot of first time track drivers that will be there. We will have an instructor as well as solo use of the skid pad. Additional questions or information email amgdriversclub@***.net.

This will be a great event to enjoy the full power of your AMG in a fun safe environment with other AMG Owners.
Once payment is received additional registration documents will be sent.

Friday September 7th at 7pm there will be a reception at the Courtyard Marriott in Palmdale. This will also be the preferred hotel for lodging.

Saturday September 8th we will all caravan over to the Willow Springs track. Restaurant will be open for breakfast. The day will start off with a classroom session and dividing the drivers into run groups based on track experience. Being assigned to the right run group is important. Next there will be a lead follow session by the instructors on the track so the drivers can get a sense for the track. During the down time while your run group is not on the track you will have access to the skid pad with profession instruction for oversteer/understeer and general lessons on car control.
