Actually, I mucked up the headcount comment.
Here is what Chris gave me:
The price food doesn't change much if you alter the amount of people (like if you change it from 15 to 20 or 25). If it were a party (locally) of 25 and you needed beer, soda and water, burgers, bbq baby back ribs, buttermilk fried chicken, southern potato salad, southwestern quesadillas and grilled Colorado skirt steak; all the utensils, napkins, plates, cups, 2 tables and chaffing pans, you would be looking at approximately $1200. This price is an estimate and is subject to change if the parameters of the party change such as location, plus or minus guests, plus or minus food content.
So maybe we can pare down the menu a bit.

Out Of Control!!
Damn, $1200 and no happy endings? Wtf?
Seriously, if I wanted a real meal, I'd blow off these meets entirely.
Think Chucky will be allowed back on the forums before the next meet?

If we want just beer and burgers, we can just stick to the tried and true. As a matter of fact, I found a new burger recipe that is simply amazing. It's just that I can't prepare them on a strip of foil covering a cat-urine-soaked public grill. (and I'm being optimistic by saying cat urine)
I was thinking of stepping it up a notch, but if we can't get the unit cost down to what I had in mind, this won't work.
How about stick to food, and leave the booze to BYO? I did this in my yard once for a work gig and it came out pretty good.
So, who has a decent portable charcoal grill? I have two small ones, but not suitable for a group of this size.
