GA - Drag Racing GTG

It's time for the Import Showdown again and always we love having the MB crew. Plus new for 2008 we have a competition class that allows V8 or larger motors! I know in years pass, due to our class rules many of you were excluded from the competitions.

The Import Showdown presented by Spec Clutches and Flywheels returns SUNDAY MAY 4th to Silver Dollar Raceway!

If you have never attended an Import Showdown event, you should know that this event is about the exhilaration of running your car down the track and watching some great sportsman racing. The event is open to every skill level of driver, every make and model car, or bike that meets our safety requirements.

Our competitions payout an average of nearly $3000 in cash, prizes, and giveaways to winners. We have a mix of competitive classes with higher cash payouts, and sportsman classes for bragging rights for the less serious competitor. Not into competitions? Just want to see what your car can do? No problem, over half of the event is dedicated to test and tune time which is open timed runs. We regularly have attendees who have gotten 25 or more passes in a day.

Spectator only? We offer some of the fastest and closest competitions available, with some races decided by hundredths of seconds. Plus we've had a variety of exotic and specialty cars make passes. Even visit sponsor booths and check out some of the hundreds of the hottest cars around. The Import Showdown truly has a great spectator experience.

Want more? New for 2008 we are introducing a new class. Designed specifically for Hybrid/Luxury Imports with V8 or larger motors! This is a truly unique, one of a kind class at an import event.

As always, the Import Showdown is a not for profit event put on by volunteers members of GA DSM, with all event funds turned back into the event! Come see what has made the Import Showdown the premiere, not for profit drag racing event in the southeast.

Pre-Registration is open now!
