U're gonna have to show me how to do that!!! Both in the Benz, and the Supra!
I tell ya, I wanna see what my E500 would do on the 1/4. I'd love to line up next to your E55. We used to run out here east I think in southhampton it was, but they closed that 1/4 about 2 yrs. ago I think. We used to take Fridays off, and just go there the whole day. I know at E-Town, Wed. nights are Test and tune, I just don't know how busy they are. Weekends are crazy. We did have a Supra day a few weeks ago where E-town dedicated our own staging lanes, but I doubt that's going to happen again now that the season has begun.
Let me know. (Could make a meet out of it)

he didn't bother us, we just wanted to make a peace offering of some chips since he was sitting there for 10 minutes watching us lol! apparently he was reading a book and not hungry so he rejected our goodwill offer! then left about 15-20 minutes later.

Yeah pisses me off a bit too, though I'm thinking about getting a quaife unit. Seems MB doesnt like to use them though, even on the CLS63 it's an option

Unlike your Pontiac, I don't have a mega hp Supra. I'm looking for 450ish crank after I install my PT61 turbo. Then its time for tuning (know of any dyno shops?) then off to E-Town with both Supra and the E500. It would be so cool if we could get some MB's run @ E-Town. Can you imagine the crowds reactions! I'll never forget last year, someone was running 11's all day long in their silver W211 E55. Was the sweetest thing I ever saw.

I for one would like to see AMG boost performance to the level of the blue devil and viper (600 hp) with the cars price competitively in each segment. Twin turbo’s could add this edge.
Plenty of potential sales CL, CLS, E, SL and S models if twin tubos were standard.
AMG could pull additional sales across all 5 models in the range of 20-25 additional cars per month with a revenue increase of $168kk to $210kk and matching amounts in Europe - Worldwide increase of half a billion dollars.
I have been waiting patiently for someone to twin turbo a 63 car so I could promote the idea. Mercedes and other manufactures have provided turbo cars at a modest cost increase for years and the owner receives a large increase of 75-100 hp. We have all heard and read about owners dropping big $$$ for mod’s that don’t even come close to 75 hp.
It is really just a business decision by AMG. By adding twin turbos at a nominal price and achieving higher volumes to derive additional profits at the expense of competitors.
I could make the argument that AMG removed the Supercharger and kept the 63 cars pricing the same.
Excuse my poor example, I offer it only for its simplicity.

Difference $6,500.00
So if AMG added $10,000 for twin turbos to the 63 series and achieved expanded sales, everyone’s a winner.

A source revealed that AMG would add turbocharging technology to the current SL63. In line with AMG’s movement away from the horsepower war, the source revealed that the turbos will work in conjunction with new direct injection technology to help boost efficiency and lower fuel consumption. “There will be a slight increase in power, but really it’s all about creating optimal conditions for the introduction of direct injection,” the source explained.
