SCDA is at it again with dates set for this spring at Lime Rock Park and at New Hampshire International Speedway. For a good write-up on what to expect at these events, click here -- for a good write-up on what actually happened on 11/9/01 at Lime Rock, click here.
I've been in touch with Ian Prout, here's what he has to say:
He is offering multi-event discounting, where if you attend more than one SCDA event at Lime Rock/NHIS this spring, you get a bit of a break. The dates are in the subject line, and the price breakout goes something like this:
One event: $225
Two events: $425 ($25 off)
Three events: $625 ($50 off)
Skian and Martz (from Club B5 ) and I spent somewhere around 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours in the classroom, and then a full two hours on the track on 11/9/01, and had an absolute blast. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this spring, but plan on going to Lime Rock in the fall when SCDA makes its rounds back there.

I would like to mention one point. We charge $225 per car...The cheapest Skip Barber program is over $500...and that is a two hour only course that gives about 20 minutes seat time.
Furthermore, Track Time, PDA and several other clubs all charge $225 per day and do not provide as much track time as SCDA.
SO,
My point is that the SCDA is a very cost effective means for driving enthusiasts to get track time, and the costs to put these events are increasing significantly every year, and I am doing my best to provide a professional service at an affordable. cost.
