So far its still on! He suggested I call back at 11am to make sure and "he can give us a better synopsis".
Just wanted to keep you all posted.
I am 60 miles from the boat departure location so for me to get there at 2:30pm - I have to leave my house around 1pm (in case of traffic).
I'll call at 11am to see what the deal is. If he says they are NOT taking the boat out - I assume the date will be pushed out?

Thermos sounds reasonable - I'd think that anything plastic would react with the scotch. Rick's the scotch expert, though, not me.

Maybe i'll go without scotch this time round. Will stick to diet soda and my veggie sandwhiches from subway.

That sucks about the trip; you missed us by about 20 minutes.
Good trip; was glad that (most) people actually caught fish this time. Hasta la proxima.
...and you guys thought I was going to puke...

Tommy, we stopped for a late dinner at the Yellow Rose Diner in Keyport and we saw you heading out on 36.
I started by going to the wrong marina's. I knew where 5th Ave. was in Atlantic Highlands and started to look for 1st Ave. but asked some kids and they informed me it was the other marina off of rte. 36 by Burger King.
I tried to call Rick, but somehow he had managed to change his cell phone number and didn't inform me. Nice guy.....
After getting in contact with Capt. Dave the day capt. and than finally Capt. Mike the night capt. I figured off to the beach, but before doing so I noticed there was a boat chartered by women for one of those "Ladies Toys Parties".
Tried to get an invite, didn't happen though. I guess they were looking for something larger than trouser trout on this outing.
The beach was windy and I knew the horse race was on around 6 or so, and off to the Inlet Cafe for a couple of Heinekens and the race. Well I bet the bartender that Rachel Alexandra would win and he thought the Derby winner Mine That Bird would win. Ah the beers were free and cold after that race.
If anyone hits the beaches of Sandy Hook, good luck with the bridge project. There was little to no traffic, and it was till a mess.
Also Gaitors was closed, and they have some of the best sauce for mussells.
Try it again but next time, I am riding with Rick and his damn new phone number!
Next time, I want to see what "down market" strippers look like in that town.
Mister Brenton - Thanks to you and Mrs for being so hospitable. I'm glad your dog didn't bite my ***** and because of that, no upper decker in your toilet.
MG - It's just a dollar. Give her the damn thing. Even if it's a mercy buck.

Nello - I sooooo wanted you to blow chunks, man. Not so much for the endless jokes that would be at your expense, as much as we needed the extra chum in the water.
Chucky - Somehow, a little cooler than I expected. I actually thought you'd show up wearing eye liner and glitter. You almost got dunked for wearing those Prada shades though. I've never seen one margarita have so much affect on a man.
Tommy - Seriously, if there was a Mountain Dew drinking contest, you'd win hands down.
Benzitch - No comment until you learn how to tell time.
I very much expected to get waaaaaay more drunk than I did. With the seas being so angry, you actually had to make a choice between drinking or standing. I chose the latter, but still polished off about 8 or 9 beers.
Still pissed that the captain didn't let me bring aboard my 2-stroke, gasoline powered, motorcycle grip throttle, blender. It's quite a sight to see in action.
Good times fellas, good times.

Thermos?
