Fun DE in Savannah, GA - Nov 7-8, 2009. You're Invited.
The Dark Side Driving Events Returns to Roebling Road Raceway.
Some of you have been with us in the past - and we love you for it. Please encourage those who may not be familiar with us to join us. Last year we received the "BeerTech DE Award/Seal of Approval" - I don't know if that was good or bad, but it made me smile.
The track hosts a lapping day, Friday Nov 6, for folks who have plenty of seat time under their belt and have been solo for at least one full weekend with an organization we can verify it with.
Our DE is a two-day weekend, Nov 7-8 -- and we plan on having a great time. Saturday night - is Italian Night at Cafe Trevisone -- we are converting the concession stand into an Italian Bistro. Hubby is cooking chicken cacciatore, ziti and sausage with peppers and onions. Our CDI is making the dessert for everyone!!! It should be a lot of laughs just seeing how it all comes together!
Our DEs have 5 run groups - 20 minute sessions - and a happy atmosphere. Yes, it's about the track, the track time, the quality, the cars, but with us it is also the social angle.
Registration is open at www.clubregistration.net (Organization: Dark Side Driving Events)-- sign in there and snail mail a check ("we don't need nobody taking a percentage away from the Boys & Girls Club of HHI") and chances are - you will be in.
By the way, if you don't know if a DE is for you (DE stands for Driver Ed - where you get learn how to control your own car at fast speeds without the risk of a siren coming up behind you...) then you may want to consider our Taste of the Track program: attend our classrooms, hot laps from the passenger side and join us in with the antics we have going on throughout the weekend.
