Mid-Western Mile Event
We're looking at putting together a standing-mile event in the MidWest similar to what the guys in Moscow are doing with the Moscow Unlimited - which would certainly be more convenient for lots of guys in Chicago, Indy, Cleveland, New York, etc. than Texas is.

Any thoughts??

Car and Driver rented the former Wurtsmith AFB in Oscoda MI for some mile runs. Story here: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...d_back_feature

I gave the airport a call and confirmed they will do private rentals but the logistics of planning that kind of event turned into more than I wanted to undertake.

We were looking into a fly-in type community in Illinois, but they seem to be getting cold feet. Can you PM me the contact info. for the guys you talked to? We're equipped to set this up.
