Last SD Track Day: Big Willow - Sunday - July 17, 2011

Since the weather is getting hotter and hotter, I have decided that this will be the last track event of the season that Speed District will be throwing. Once the weather cools down (3-4 months) we will start having more events.

If you have missed the other events, TRUST ME, come out to this last event. It's different then any other track event you have been to. Full Exclusive Track Rental, Fully Insured, Full Ambulance Coverage, Two all inclusive photographer rental (You get photo cds at the end of the day for free of pictures of your car on the track - $65 value), Lap timing Available, Start/Finisher + 4 Corner Workers, Two PROFESSIONAL Driving Instructors (Mike Bonanni and Jordan Yost), Helmet Rentals, Small amount of people (50 max) - Three run groups, 20 minute sessions. You do the math of how many times you'll be on the track.. We're there for 8 hours.

Optional but recommended:
Lap Timing (+$20)
Professional Driving Instruction (+$45)

The 405 Freeway will be closed from Santa Monica to the 101 Freeway entrance so it's your perfect chance to get away and have a fun day track day.

When: Sunday - July 17, 2011
Where: Big Willow (Willow Springs International Raceway)
Drivers Meeting/Registration: 7:15AM
Races all day from 8am-5pm

Price: $220

EARLY BIRD PRICE = $180 ($40 OFF!)
USE COUPON CODE: EB40

Registration: http://www.speeddistrict.com/events/...ent&event_id=3

You MUST sign up before Friday (12PM) to receive the discount!

Come run your high end performance automobiles and exotics in a SAFE/FRIENDLY environment.

Would love to attend July 17th event @ Willow. I do have some ?'s that I could not find answers on website. I would love to know more info if I were to attend:

1) is this a form of HPDE?
2) you say 3 run groupes, how are they broken up?
3) how is tech inspection being handled? can it be done before the event?
4) what kind of safety equipment (vehicle), SFI/FIA (driver) is required?
5) is there fuel/tires available at Willow?
6) is the event open to only "closed wheel" vehicles?
7) do you need to hold a valid comp. license with another sanctioning body to attend?

I know I have a lot of ?'s. I just don't want to bring others to your event to only be denied because we lack proper equipment/credentials to attend.

BTW, I personally do not have a current comp license. (hopefully soon) But my experience stands as is:

1) POC road race (circa mid-late 90's)
2) SCCA Autocross (various events)
3) F3 (Europe - private event) (Budapest, Hungary)
4) F3000 (Europe - private event) (Budapest, Hungary)
5) F3000 (Europe - test & tune) (Valencia, Spain)
6) SRF (Buttonwillow - private event)
7) Spec Mazda (Buttonwillow - private event)
8) Star Mazda (Buttonwillow - private event)

Unfortunately I do not hold a valid log book. But, I do know that all my instructors will vouch for me. If needed I can provide proper documentation.

Thanks for taking the time to at least look at / answer my ?'s

We should all go track our cars this weekend to get away from Carmaggedon

Still honoring the early bird discount price, instead of 220 you pay 180 for a FULL track day with less then 50 people. You know how much damn track time that is? Oh yeah.. We're including a track photo cd for FREE, it's normally $65 at the track.

Let me know if you want to come out!
