If were doing this, we're going to need to do it right. The EAS guys are willing to host us on their own time, so we need to get as many cars there as possible. Who knows, if they enjoy it enough, it could potentially turn into something that they do on a regular basis....it could be the start of a lot more benz activity here on the east coast.

Again if you are reading this, send the invite to anyone else you know here on mbworld, the more turn up the better.

We are thinking some time in April, so there is plenty of time to get the word out. Lets see if we can get 30+ cars

Where is he planning on finding the space to host the cars? IIRC that parking lot is tiny.

They are at their new location in Waltham....there is plenty of space. They have held several car shows there already where 20 cars or so show up, and this is room to spare. Are you still thinking of their old location?

Oh that's better, their last location was in Waltham too, as I was coming out a bum was looking into my car and took off when he saw me.

So I just got off the phone with Ed. The show will be on Saturday April 14th at 10am in their lot, I assume the rain out day will be Sunday, but that will be determined later. EAS will have their techs on hand to answer any questions anyone may have about their cars, it is geared to be an informative session as well as a full on car show.

As for capacity, Ed's words were "We can accommodate how ever many cars you want!" These guys are great. If that's the case, lets fill it to capacity

The wheels are finally starting to roll on this. I will work on getting a flier or poster together for the event. Hopefully I set this up soon enough in advance to give people plenty of time to schedule it in.

Thats actually not a bad idea. If everyone could also add what they drive next to the name in the attending list, that would be great. Would be good to know what kind of crown well have.

It would be cool if we have enough for benz only since the host is strictly and MB house. However with that being said, if limiting it to benz will result in a poor turnout, well have to reconsider.

What do people think?

In all my time planning Benz events... the largest turn out I had was 50 cars AT MBUSA in New Jersey

Biggest Benz only event in Boston? 20cars(maybe) Having said that I know 2 or 3 other benz owners on Yuppieracing(not including fatmike) that might come out to see EAS

I don't see a reason why we cant beat 20 cars. There is plenty of time between now and then and I am willing to advertise this as much as I can. A friend of mine will be getting a flier/poster together for the event that will make it look a bit more put together.

I know the amount of interest does not necessarily translate into the number of people who show up, but it does seem like there is the enthusiasm is there.

If it can be done in NJ, it can be done here.

It really does look like the Mbz crowd around here is growing lately. we could get a good turnout this year I think.

Ill be there. Is there a plan to have tech demonstrations or anything?

I dont think there is anything in particular planned. More like they will be there if anything is needed (ie. advice or explenations) However if enough people end up going, I am sure EAS could put something together.....all depends on the turnout.
