It's actually a custom 1 off peice. It was fabricated during the build and is 3 peices - 2 end tanks and a y pipe... The end tanks are fabbed and smoothened on the inside with the welds grounded on the contours of the boxes. That part took 3 weeks to make using metal shaping & crafting and when it was done the entire thing was sent to coating to keep the heat out of the inner air path... It was quite involved I'm terms of time, craftsmanship, and resources and the fabricator had my car at his shop when he made it for an extended period of time.

^^^ thanks buddy it was a super involved peice to make... even the y-pipe itself is 3 sections of scurved pipe specially radiused and flaired then tig welded to a smoothened and de-burred center neck...

^^^ you would need to drop your car off for weeks, it would be in the multiple thousands and it would be a one off custom part.
no telling for sure on cost, it would depend of the fabricator you choose...it was so extensive that the guy the made mine said he needed to have the car there at his shop and he didn't know that it was a project he wanted to do again once it was done...it's a very intricate shaped metal work if you examine it closely it's very very complex at the intake box exits and the y pipe configuration.

Damn.... I wish I would have seen this earlier. I just sat around and watched the crappy Broncos/Vikings game ![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I've purchased our vehicles from MB of Baltimore before the new facility was even built, when they were working out of trailer's. It's a beautiful facility and the people there are great. I am not suprised they sponsored such an event. I'll make sure I am at the next.

Leo, your welcome brother!! But, I didn't do it alone, thanks to the Mercedes Benz Club of America - Greater Washington Sector and our Regional Director Bill Hopper and also to Mercedes Benz of Baltimore for hosting this event. Also a shoot out to Brent for having his CLS55 on display for everyone to marvel over. It was a big hit, and also to Biz's Dad for bringing out his SLS AMG.
