FINAL UPDATE: Los Angeles area AMG meet, January 24, 1 pm, Rain or Shine

Rose Bowl, Directions to Rose Bowl
Lot K Public Parking lot, Parking Lot Map
This meet will also address the formation of an AMG Owners Club of Los Angeles. Hopefully this will grow to include California and then possibly a formation for all of the USA. Fastneutron will be organizing this since he will also be visiting Germany to meet up with the AMG Owners club there.

A drive on Los Angeles Crest Hwy has been suggested. However, I would rather not have to deal with the popos harrassing us.
A drive down Colorado Blvd then to the 210 East Fwy, then down the 57 South has also been suggested, with a final stop at The Block in Orange. We can then get some food.
This seems like a good idea. However, other suggestions will be considered once we all get together and talk.
If you would like to come then send me a PM and I will add your name to the list.
You do not need to have an AMG vehicle to come to this meet. Everyone is welcome.

about lot 7
parking lot 7 is a golf course, which is only used during game and special event days.
i passed it during school to see where it was. your best bet is using lot k. it is the large parking lot on the south west side of the rose bowl stadium.
just thought i would check it out. this is also indicated by thr green color of the parking lot on the rosebowl website map.
i hope to see u guyz there, so i can get some good pictures

Oh well =( I Hope There's Another scheduled
I wish I could have come but I was scheduled for a Research Design Group study on new SUVs features this morning and around 11AM I had a call to show one of my properties I own to an interested, qualified buyer who couldn't see it at a different time today other than 2PM. Got to accomodate a buyer when they are hot! It turned out pretty well.
Anyways, I hope you guys/gals had a blast. Can someone post a few pics possibly?
I'd like to join on another gathering. Wasn't there a tentative one planned in a few weeks for those that couldn't attend this one? I picked-up a 2004 SL55 AMG in Pewter/Charcoal last month and I'm enthusiastic about getting together with the AMG enthusiasts. The last Merc I owned was the 2002 ML55 AMG. Back in the fold!
Also, Thanks t-bone for the enthusiasm of getting this gathering going today.
Anyways, I hope you guys/gals had a blast. Can someone post a few pics possibly?

Thanks for those great pics. What was truly striking were the row of Silver SL55s against the overcast skies with hues of silver white and grey. That's unique especially in Southern CA and damn! those AMGs looked nice. Lots of classy mods and the stock AMGs remind me how well they look as is.
I've frequented 6speedlineonline ever since it branched from funcarsonline. I've been more of a visitor and havent posted there as I used to on funcarsonline. I use the same aka there. I believe I've seen your posts and do recall the Feb 7th get-together. Maybe I can bring the SL55 to that meet hehe.
Anyways, I haven't updated this profile. I miss my 996TT ... traded it in and took a good hit for the '04 SL55 for a change in experience. I love convertibles! Still, I hope to get another Turbo in the near future, definitely the 997TT when it comes to us.
