Mercedes Benz gathering at the Walter Mitty
The Classic Motorsports Walter Mitty Challenge and Auto Festival
at ROAD ATLANTA
April 30 - May 2, 2004
All Mercedes owners are invited to attend the Classic Motorsports Walter Mitty Challenge, presented by Moss Motors, this April 30 - May 2, 2004 at Road Atlanta. In its 27th year, the Mitty is a springtime tradition in Atlanta. With over three hundred classic race cars entered, the Walter Mitty Challenge is the greatest vintage and historic race event on the east coast and one of the largest in America. The new event for the club is the great new attraction in the infield - THE AUTO FESTIVAL at the MITTY. Running Saturday and Sunday, the AUTO FESTIVAL is an all-new feature that will celebrate the auto in all its many forms. The AUTO FESTIVAL will feature, among other things, the following:
Auto Club Corral where Mercedes owners can park and gather.
Parade Laps free for our cars driving around Road Atlanta™s challenging professional road course. (Must have at least 10 cars from our club-MBCA or any other Mercedes club membership card)
Concours for each auto club with the winner from each club on Saturday being eligible for Best of Show judging on Sunday. The Best of Show winner will receive the coveted Classic Motorsports trophy and take a lap of honor around the circuit.
Vendors™ Row a line up of automotive parts and accessories suppliers.
Parts Swap Meet open to all .
Hot Laps two lap rides in real Panoz race cars at full-tilt speed.
Classic Motorsports and Grassroots Motorsports Project Car Display.
Touring open to all. Mid-day laps at limited speed (65 mph)
Big Rally/Cruise-in/Drive-in by all auto clubs.
Concession stands, Shuttlebus, and Children™s Playground Areas.
All spectators are permitted into the race paddock with the cars.
Classic/vintage Cars for Sale Corral.

Have anyone just show up and show their card at the front gate. I'm gonna try and can get a couple of people to help me save a good spot on Friday where we will all be able to park together.

I'm headed down on Saturday and possibly staying till sunday depnding on what's going on.
Should we pick out a spot to meet? Also I don't have a MB club card, but I'll certainly join up with you guys to help up the #'s.
