My wife and I are looking for a third weekend car and we are considering a BMW (m4 or m3 2 door) and a c63 (2 door) and we need a little help. We are considering those 2 cars because they are somewhat economical (if that's possible), have a local infrastructure to support it where we live, and a needed back seat.
We want to be able to track the car some throughout the year and we are located in Upstate SC. We have the BMW Performance Center basically in our back yard, Road Atlanta is a short drive away as well, and a Michelin test track is nearby. I've been looking at groups and see a lot of BMW groups using these tracks but very little to none of the Mercedes groups using them
. I would rather buy a Mercedes, since we've owned several and like them much more, but the BMW groups have more to offer with track days.
So my question is, does anyone know of MB groups (or any open car groups) in the Atlanta/Charlotte corridor (I-85) that have track times or days somewhere nearby?
