Columbus Ohio Mercedes Events July 7-9
Columbus, Ohio Arthritis Auto Show Selected as MBCA Regional Event
MBA | Central Ohio Section has earned the opportunity to host an MBCA Regional Event! The last regional event we hosted was 20 years ago. We’re putting together a great event for Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts to enjoy.
We’re fortunate the Arthritis Foundation selected Mercedes-Benz as a featured marquee. It honors the 90th anniversary of the merger which formed the company as we know it today. As a featured marquee, the brand will be highlighted in all the show’s marketing and it allows the MBCA to add a little extra for our brand’s followers.
To begin with, as a featured marquee our area of the show field on Saturday will be in a prominent location. We have space reserved for 75 vehicles to be displayed.
Each class will have three trophies thanks to our event committee finding sponsors. There is also a Best of Show for Mercedes-Benz.
We’ll have two large tents in our display area to promote the MBCA.
We’ve organized an M-B Autocross on Sunday. Everyone who registers a Mercedes-Benz for the show will be invited to drive with our local section members. This will be run with the OSU Sports Car Club and on a large parking lot on The Ohio State University’s west campus.
What can you do to enjoy this event or get involved in making it a success? If you have a car to show then go to the event website and register today! As mentioned, space is limited. We’ll also need volunteers to staff the membership tent. If you have experience judging big shows, we can train you on the club’s Concours rules. And, don’t forget helping out at the autocross on Sunday! Contact Beth or Bernadette.

July 7th Arthritis Foundation Rolling Legends Tour, Dublin, OH
Tour along scenic byways from the launch point of the Crowne Plaza hotel in Dublin to SugarCreek Brandworthy Food Solutions in Washington Courthouse, OH. Enjoy a catered lunch then tour a beautiful private collection of over 200 cars, motorcycles and boats. You’ll also get a glimpse at over 300 unrestored classics waiting their turn in the on-site restoration facilities. Finish the tour by joining us at the Right Stuff Detailing facility in Westerville, OH for their cruise-in & barbecue with 300 cars expected. Pre-register on-line at www.arthritisautoshow.com. July 8th Arthritis Foundation Cruise In, Dublin, OH
This is a traditional open cruise-in that is open to everyone. Pay when you arrive, drive around the event area and find a comfortable place to park near some people who look like fun. Concessions and live music late into the evening. Many six foot tall trophies awarded for all kinds of categories. This is a really fun evening. The judged car show is Saturday. You’ll want to be early to get through registration and claim a good parking spot on our grassy knoll. Plan to stay through the trophy presentations in the afternoon. Then stay even later for the live concert afterwards. This really is a party atmosphere. July 10th AutoCross with MBCA, Columbus, OH
Drive your Mercedes-Benz around a parking lot course marked with orange cones for time. We’ll have instructors available for novices. We only have a few loaner helmets (required equipment), so bring your own if you can. These are fun events where you learn how your vehicle handles at or past its limits, which is a great learning experience. All this is done in a safe and controlled environment. I am one of the people help organizing this event. It is going to be a great car show! There is expected to be 1,000-1,500 cars of all makes and models. We are hoping for a large mercedes turn out.
I am bringing 2 AMG's. All Mercedes are encouraged to come.... old, new, daily driver's, AMG's, even smart cars!
