Well, the sequel to our rained-out BMW MB Lexus event is upon us once again. This time around, we're sure to have fantastic weather so this one is a definite go! Just a few quick but important things I want to mention:

1. Rules of conduct will be posted at the facility, but the most important rule is NO BURNOUTS, NO DONUTS, NO SPEEDING ESPECIALLY in the facility! It is a huge facility and I assure you, many will be tempted to speed since the roads are nice and wide and open. RESIST THE TEMPTATION!!!!! Ignoring this very important rule will result in our meet being dismantled and we will all be sent home. Not to mention, it will make me (the permit holder) look really bad since I assured FBF personnel that all attendees were mature and would adhear to this very important rule.

2. Alcohol WILL be permitted. So feel free to bring beer and such, but PLEASE know your limit and please DO NOT drive intoxicated, even if it is a mild intoxication. If you feel you've exceeded your limit or don't feel comfortable driving, please see myself (Ron) or the other coordinators (Derrick, Doug, Tommy, Vik) and we will make arrangements for you.

3. Please clean up after yourself. I and the other coordinators will likely be the last to leave the facility and will ensure the place looks like it did before we got there. Please help us out by just cleaning up and not throwing wrappers and junk on the floor.

4. Finally, have FUN! I am really amped about this one! The weather is gonna be MINT and from the look of the roll-calls on all the forums involved, we're gonna have an INCREDIBLE turnout, just like the last time! What's even more exciting is the Mercedes camp is repping very big this time! They are gonna come in big numbers and it will be sweet to see the SL500s and the different varieties of 55s that are coming for sure! I am really looking forward to seeing all of you there! See you tomorrow!

OK, directions to FBF once you get in the area:

The exit off of the Belt Parkway is EXIT 11S

1. Go straight down (1 MILE) [stay in the left lane]. RIGHT BEFORE THE TOLL you will see a sign on the LEFT HAND side that says GATEWAY NATIONAL RECREATION AREA FBF. That sign is directing you to make a left. MAKE THAT LEFT into Floyd Bennett Field.

NOTE: This is the part that confuses SOME people because there is a toll booth RIGHT BEFORE the left hand turn you have to make. Some people see the toll booths and feel like they are coming too close to it and get afraid that they've missed the turn and will have to go through the toll. DO NOT BE FOOLED! You will come very close to the toll. Just wait till you see the sign that says GATEWAY NATIONAL RECREATION AREA FBF and then make that left.

2. Go straight between and past the 2 little house/offices with the yellow and black speed bump. On your RIGHT-HAND side you will see a cluster of brown-colored signs with arrows in them. The very bottom one says CRICKET FIELD and it's pointing to the left. Make that LEFT-HAND turn.

3. You are now on a long beautiful road which will tempt each and evey one of you to speed! RESIST THE TEMPTATION and follow the speed limit of 25MPH PLEASE! Go straight down until you see the CRICKET FIELD sign and make that LEFT.

4. Go straight. (You will see the lot on the left.) Make the next possible LEFT.

5. Make a quick LEFT into the lot and drive to where the cluster of sweet rides are sitting!

The marques will be segregated (who would want to park next to a girly 3 series anyway? ), so where you see the Mercedes, please park in that section.

Also on the belt parkway there was some construction after the coney island exit for a few months now.The road was chewed up and Im not sure if its fully paved yet.So just take it slow and eyes open.Shouldnt be a problem at all,just a heads up.......

Hey, I was there next to the green CL 55. We actually left together and both hit about 100 mph flatbush ave. Both of us hit the brakes, though. Not a good road to do that on. To dangerous, to many other cars. I was tempted to blast out of the facility, though!! Nice stretch of road there.
