(Feeler Alert) NorCal Mercedes CnC In the City of SF
Its been awhile since I set up a morning get-together. I used to set up events and drives on some other sites about 8 years ago. Then I took some time off while my son started walking (and now he's running)
Its time to get back into starting up San Francisco Meets. I suppose that the first questions would be if there was still interest in a weekend morning meet. I am not interested in starting up a massive Cars and Coffee where 100+ cars arrive. But if I could get a few dozen cars to attend that would be awesome!
I'm not interested in keeping this marque specific. I think many would feel the same.
I'm not interested in having this only on Sunday. Some folks like to spend the day with family and practicing their faith. So, there will be Saturday events and possibly holiday Monday gatherings.
Little about me. I've been involved in motorsports since the mid-80s. I used to build and race the 1520 in my VW Ghia. I also autocrossed my 1987 VW 16V. And then I raced vintage in my 1967.5 Datsun 2000 Roadster Fairlady. I have owned at least 35+ cars since I started driving in 1981. I currently own a 1973 Mercedes 450SL, 2013 Mercedes C63-P31, 2019 Subaru Ascent Limited and a 1996 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4.
Motorcycles. I have owner over 40 motorcycles since 1989. I used to race AMA Supermoto. I also am an avid trackday rider. I currently ride a 2017 KTM Adventure 1090R, 1990 Yamaha FZR-R4, 1979 Vespa P200E and a 1985 Honda 125 Elite Deluxe.
So, what do you folks think? Ready for some "grassroots" action?
