Friday, April 29th
At this point, we will welcome folks in from out-of-town Friday evening with a dinner (probably steaks, etc.) We are in the process of selecting a suitable/reasonable hotel for folks to stay.
Saturday, April 30th
Main Event: Three parts to the day.
Part I: Photo shoot with all the cars and an F-16 jet as the backdrop!
Part II: At lunch, will be a special guest we have invited from AMG. He'll give a short presentation and you'll have an opportunity for Q & A.
Part III: In preparation for the drags on Sunday, we will caravan over to AllSpeed for dyno-testing for the remainder of the day.
Sunday, May 1st
Track day - 1/4 mile drags
Bring your spouse or SO...make a weekender/mini vacation out of this!
There is ZERO cost (for registration) to participate! You just pay for your lunch, dyno testing and drag racing

Chappy, this is truly unbelievable. Just an amazing lineup. With both the dyno and the track day, it may be the most definitive research to date of car vs. car and mod vs. mod. I REALLY hope folks don't bug out before they race. I want a piece of somebody's SL65.

Don't worry, I am warming up the drag radials now...... It would only be fair!
We need to get the word out even more. It should be a blast of a couple of days, the more people the better!

We should have a good crowd

***Hotel Info Confirmed***
For out-of-towners or folks locally who don't want to miss any of the action, we have secured a group rate at a local suites hotel in Peachtree City.
The "host" hotel will be the location where we will head out Friday night for dinner, head over to Peachtree City Airport Saturday morning, and will depart Sunday morning from this location to the drags on May 1st.
The host hotel will be the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites located in Peachtree City, GA. Our group rate will be just $89 per night (all the rooms are suites) and you'll need to make reservations directly with the hotel at (770)487-4646. Here's some great info/tips if you have not ever been to a 1/4 track. For most of us, helmets will be required!

Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, GA is the strip - owner Ed Swearingen & his crew run a tight operation - worth at least .2 seconds over Commerce thanks to lower elevation (445' vs. 1100') and far better track prep.

We will depart the hotel at 8am and will be going to www.silverdollarraceway.com
You will need a helmet if your car runs 13.99 or faster.

From the organizer of the track day (Sunday):
"For everyone's that is planning to attend the Shootout, we will not be pre-registering for the event. SD <Silver Dollar Raceway> will have a $10.00 gate fee and we will have tech card registration at the track. Tech cards will be $15.00. Classes, awards and the schedule will be posted soon.
Chappy it's good to hear that you guys will be returning to the shoot-out, we had a lot of fun with you guys the last time and look forward to racing some of those bad AMG's again."
It's only going to cost $25 to run all day long! Anybody with nitrous planning on coming?
