Seems pretty lame - it appears your company won't take a CL65, SL65, S65, S600 or several other cars I tried that were turbo charged. Looks like the same ol' insurance garbage…. if you 'might' have to pay out - you don't even offer coverage.

Auto_POM-Mercury Extended Warranty Coverage

“AutoPom! and Mercury do not claim to be able to cover every brand and model. No one does.
We do offer coverage on over 85% of Mercedes models and have thousands of happy Mercedes customers. In fact, we sell more contracts to Mercedes owners than any other brand of vehicle.
We try to offer a competitive product for 99% of the driving public and certainly do not want to charge them more to cover the costs of the 1% that own very high-end vehicles that tend to be very expensive to repair. The models we do not provide coverage for include CL65, CL600, SL55, SL63, SL65, SL550, SL600, S65, S600, SLR, SLS AMG and Sprinter. Unfortunately the prices that would need to be charged to provide coverage for these vehicles just do not make economic sense. We do offer coverage on 60 + other Mercedes models including those that are TURBO-CHARGED. Mercury Select Management Company has an A+ rating with the BBB (click link to confirm), is one of the oldest providers in the industry and has an excellent reputation for paying claims. autoPOM! also has an A+ rating with the BBB (click to confirm). Let us know if autoPOM! can be of service to you!

Hahaha, nice friendly post!

They are no different than a lot of other warranty companies that won't take on AMG cars, BMW M-series, etc. I work with a great company that just will not cover Porsches or 12-cylinder motors.

That's no reflection on the quality of the company or their claims paying reputation. Their underwriters have just decided they do not want to take on the risk of the highest-risk/loss ratio cars. If they did, the prices would be very high and no one would buy it anyway.

It has more to do with my disdain for insurance companies in general. When I was a servicer, we got paid a flat rate. We won on some of the product and lost on the other. However, there was more of the stuff we won on, so the stuff we lost on was just part of business. Most insurance companies, on the other hand, only really take business that there is little chance of losing on.... they don't spread the risk/loss at all.
I know several companies that insure high value/high performance cars, and it does cost more, but it really is not that bad. So when an insurance company picks and chooses (cherry picks), I simply do not have respect for them. Just my opinion.

Be careful who you insult...maybe, just my opinion. I was looking to do business with you recently (Bluetooth and I-Pod integration)...but you have a "disdain" for my profession and business.

Maybe I should look elsewhere????

I am sorry if I have insulted you, of course. I have just been at the losing end of the insurance stick several times in my life... most recently hurricane Ivan & Dennis. They look for any reason they can not to pay when I was a claim less subscriber for many years.
The only insurance company I have had good luck with is Chubb.... they happily paid my 'stated value' claim and have not gotten any rate increase.... but I am sad to say, in a life of insurance that I have had - I was short changed more than my fair share. Just a hot topic for me, sorry if I offend.

Why are you mixing business with personal matters?

Although this thread seems dead, heres something for those still reading

If you are looking for extended coverage or a vehicle protection plan, look no further. Autopom is an accredited business by the BBB and has an A rating, along with an "A" rating from A.M. Best

We are not your typical vehicle protection plan provider (call center) we are a specialty agency, staffed with knowledgeable agents whom recognize the unique requirements of each of our clients.
Our mission is to make every client feel the peace of mind that comes from having the right vehicle protection plan at the right price.

If you are interested in receiving a quote or comparing a quote you have received from another provider, feel free to contact us at (800) 724 8141, or check out our website at http://www.extended-vehicle-warranty.com/.

I have 2 questions....

1-if you are rated with the BBB....why does the BBB site say..."This Business is not BBB Accredited
Mercury Select Management Company, Inc
Phone: (405) 621-6590Fax: (405) 621-6835"

2-If Mercury has there own website http://www.mercuryinsurance.com/insu...rotection.html
Why should we buy from your company as a middle man and pay extra?

Although Mercury is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau they still hold an A rating with them. Here is the link: http://www.bbb.org/oklahoma-city/bus...ity-ok-7001259

In order to be accredited you must pay the BBB an annual fee and Mercury chooses not to pay that however they still remain A rated.

Unfortunately Mercury does not sell their product direct to the public. They are an administrator who has agents such as Autopom represent their coverage. If you contact Mercury direct they will refer you to an agency such as Autopom to get a quote.

Autppom is accredited by the BBB and also holds an A rating. Here is the link: http://www.bbb.org/san-diego/busines...s-ca-100095551

We not only represent Mercury but also three other providers.

If you are interested in obtaining a quote please feel free to message us with the year/make/model/mileage and your state of residency. We will be happy to send you a quote along with sample contract.

Basically, if it's something rare and cool, most insurance companies don't cover it. Really lame.

Wow! Where have you been living?

All 2006-2011 Audi S6 came with a 5.2L V10 engine.

Porsche 911 never came with V6 but rather Flat-6 engine.

The Audi R8 can be had with a V8 or V10.

...lol

My post was dripping with sarcasm.

Say what you want, but I'll take my C280 over a 3-Series any day. I test drove many before moving on to test driving MBs and was never impressed with the feel of the ride or the interiors.

I'm looking at a 2009 ML63 with about 56K miles. How much is a two year and a three year warranty?

Not too many companies do. Just curious what they have to say.
I found USAA does cover AMG's but they are super pricey as the mileage gets high.

Hi Stiggs! We absolutely cover that vehicle however you are correct, the price does tend to jump up quickly with the mileage. For that vehicle I have several options. Assuming you are not in the state of CA, WA or MO here are the options:

36 Months/ 75,000 Miles (on odometer) of our Ultimate coverage (exclusionary plan) with a $100 deductible is priced at $6,470. With a $200 deductible you're looking at $5,975.

36 Months/100,000 Miles (on odometer) of our Ultimate coverage (exclusionary plan) with a $100 deductible is priced at $7,550 and with a $200 deductible you're looking at $6,900.

24 Months/24,000 Miles (additional) of our Ultimate coverage (exclusionary plan) with a $100 deductible is priced at $5.310 and with a $200 deductible is priced at $4,965

We also offer payment plans with no interest or fees and a $300 discount to all MBworld customers (quotes above do not include the discount).

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. dacey@autopom.com or (800)724-8141 x8
