Should I buy the extended warranty?
I have a 2010 S550 with $41k miles and the warranty ran out 3 months ago. I plan to keep the car for 2 years more. I'm thinking about getting the extended warranty from Fidelity or EasyCare just because I've never had a car without a warranty. My wife thinks we should skip the warranty and just risk it for the 2 years.
What do you think? How risky is it? Any bad experiences?
Thanks all!

Maybe get some pricing on something like a powertrain warranty to cover the bigger things. If you want to "self insure, if you can afford it, then risk it. But just like everyone says, it's a risk. If you buy it, you probably wont use it, but if you don't buy it, something will go wrong....that's my luck at least.

In my experience, there is no risk. Every expensive foreign car I own needs thousands of dollars in repairs once out of warranty. Like clockwork. So yes, I would purchase a good extended warranty.
