CPO vs ELW vs 3rd party

2014 GL550 & 2013 Mini Cooper
CPO vs ELW vs 3rd party
How do these compare against each other?

Is there anything significant that the 3rd party insurance wont cover?
I have attached an example 3rd party warranty for coverage examples...and lets consider the platinum coverage.

Looks like the CPOs and ELWs cost $1000 less than the 3rd party providers but covers 1 yr / till 100k miles which is longer coverage

Also, the vehicle costs is easily spiked by ~4k (for GLs) if it is CPO.
