Prepaid Maintenance - Pricing and Services
Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone could provide some guidance around Prepaid Maintenance plans at MB.
I have a 2016 E350 with 12,xxx miles with an A3 service indicator on it. I plan to keep the car for the next 4-5 years.
Should I pick up a Prepaid Maintenance plan? And if so, how much would it cost me? How much would I save if I went to a local mechanic for service?
P.S. Does Prepaid Maintenance include breaks?
Thank you ! ! !

I evaluated this closely with my 2016 E350 but the PPM does not make financial sense. The prices at my dealer are $577 for plugs and $550 for transmission service. Oil changes are $100 at my independent, brake fluid is $139. Three oil changes, spark plugs, two brake fluid changes = $1700, and that's if I let the dealer do the plugs/transmission instead of the independent specialist shop which is cheaper.
There are zero savings to be had. My tires cannot be rotated (staggered) and I do my own filters as they're stupid easy.
PPM does not include brakes.
