ZURICH Ext Warranty BAD experience - BEWARE!

A word of warning before you deal with them.

My car had a transmission malfunction, was pretty much inoperable. Threw a bunch of codes, been doing that for a while, I had pictures, videos. Brought to the dealer. They confirmed the issue, found the bulletin, updated the software, but found more problems with the transmission after digging into it and requested a replacement.

Zurich sent their tech to authorize the replacement. However because the dealer already flashed the software, the codes were erased. They of course had everything documented, but to Zurich guy none of that mattered. The car drove fine and there wree no codes on the dash (because they were erased during the soft update). But as far as documentation goes, none of it matters to Zurich, to them everything the dealer said and showed is a fruit of imagination basically. They said NO to everything and bailed.

I was left to pick up a tab. I don't know if I'm lucky or not, the dealer only charged me for 1hr of diagnostics, although they said they spent way more than that. I have a $200 bill to pay AFTER I paid like $4500 for this useless Zurich warranty,

This is absolutely terrible. I also have extended warranty from Carmax for my other car, and never had a problem with that one and I had quite a few repairs already, they paid for everything. Zurich was supposed to be a genuine MB warranty (that's how I was told when my bought the car, maybe it's not?), but seems like it's just another 3rd rate scum company, exactly what you hear about when people say "stay away from ext warranties".

The car broke down again. This time they were able to see/replicate the problem and will cover the transmission repair. However they won't reimburse all of dealer's labor so I have to pitch in 4hrs of that which is ~$600.

Garbage company. Stay away.
