Do these go into holes/mounts that are already there on the roof?

Not sure what holes you are referring to. The racks have everything you need to install them. All you do is position them and tighten and that is it. They will not damage the car or leave any type of mark on your finish.

So there is nothing that the racks snap into on the roofline? They mount to the car via the door jam? I'm interested but unsure of the mounting method. I've seen it both ways on different makes and don't know how the MB OEM racks are mounted. Do you have any pictures showing how they are mounted, and what they are mounted to? I know you removed them from your car so if not, no big deal.

yes, they are mounted in the door jams pic #2 is the best I have to show how they attach. They have a perfect fit and I think you will be pleased with how easy they are too attach/detach after all they are OEM racks and not some aftermarket that could damage or leave marks behind.
