This is the lip from bmerparts on ebay, cost me $285 shipped.

What suspension do you have? How bad does it scrape? Car looks great. If I could go back in time I would have bought silver.

lol, k, i just have regular h&r springs on stock shocks, regular stock wheels, and had my front lip but didnt realize that it was the fiberglass one, until i recieved it, so i just put it on, but i wanted a carbon fiber one, so im still debating between a carbon fiber lip or new wheels, but then i dont have a place for my front lip that i have right now so im trying to sell it, or if you want we could trade lips and i will add cash to it your way, and thanks, silver is pretty much the new black lol everyone wants one, but the people who have it want either black or white

Cool. Your offer is seeming better and better. At least if I made a few bucks off the carbon lip I could appease the wife and still have a lip lying around if I ever wanted to install it someday and do the rims/lowering thing.

I'm in Arkansas. Yes, the lip came with hardware, I think 4 bolts or screws, I will have to go find the package to see exactly what they are. I've heard from others on this forum that you will want to use more than that to really secure it though.

so this is a fiberglass lip that is covered in c/f? bottom has no fiber wrap

Pretty sure every CF lip (and most other so-called CF parts) are just fiberglass with with CF overlaid. Who cares what the bottom looks like anyway?

apparently it does not fit the w209 with the amg bumper! i always thought we shared the same bumper as the sport/55 model c class

the point being c/f is lighter than fiberglass. my motorcycle helmet is c/f laid over kevlar. 1/3 the weight of a fiberglass helmet and 10 times stronger.
thats why i asked as a true c/f lip would cost much more

if cf lips are all made the same way, i guess it wouldnt make a difference?

but thats the thing, if they are not it'd be nice to have a "true" cf lip...

Ok, since this thing isn't selling, and after seeing kcheng86's car, i think i'm going to just keep this lip and find some nice wheels... heh.
