WTB MB spiral locks for MB Bicycle Racks
WTB MB spiral locks for MB Bicycle Racks
I purchased two (2) MBA0008900293 Bicycle Racks that attach to the MB A2228900093 Carrier Bars which I also purchased that screw into the roof of the car. In the MB installation instructions for the Bicycle Rack it states that they highly recommend that I use the spiral locks to prevent thief.
The part numbers are either B66851705 or B66851706 or B66851707 or B66851712 or B66851713or B66851714 or A0005831595 or A0005831695 or A0005831795 or A0005831895 or A0005831995 or A0005832095. Photo is attached of a Spiral lock.
The problem is all MB spiral bike locks have been discontinued in the MB USA and MB Europe. I have contacted MB USA many times with no help; no one knows why orable to find out why the spiral locks for MB are no longer being made. All MB parts suppliers cannot fulfilled any orders that I have submitted to them because the parts have been discontinued.
Please let me know if you have used or new spiral locks that I can purchase from you. Thank you, Vince

If you have an old MB Bicycle rack with a spiral lock on it, it can be removed by:
the end of the bike rack has a rubber cover. A few taps with a screw driver/rubber malletand it loosened it enough to pull out by hand. Slide the wheel clasp off and the lock following it.
