As it's plates state: 88ICON, we think the R107's of all years were Iconic.
Just another view of it's MB Black exterior paint (never repaired or resprayed)! Truly original paint., that small white spec on the RR qtr. panel is the neighbor's porch light.
Visiting Family & Friends on a cool fall day. Top' up! This car still gets driven frequently.
Hard Top Up.
View of the engine compartment, current mileage ~ 155k miles. Idles, Runs, Accelerates and Drives just as it should, anytime, everytime, clean exhaust, no drips, leaks, squeals or otherwise. Would drive this car from Florida to California tomorrow without hesitation.
Awesome. I love to see beautifully maintained classics.
The paint and wheels are incredible.
Nicely done
Thank you. There is a lot to be said about the much older single-stage exterior paint finishes of Mercedes-Benz automobiles. I meticulously brought this one's back to life using 3M's Perfect It series of machine polishes which ultimately removed absolutely all surface scratches and swirl marks from its still all original black paint. That was over 10 years ago!. Since then its been pampered by two bucket hand washing only and strict use of borderless microfiber cloths with a few coats of Zaino brothers polish ever so often. Many purist are put off a bit by the chroming of the original 15" alloys but for me it worked with the black exterior and the car speaks for itself.
