Buying used in FL and driving out of state???
I am about to pick up a GL in FL and drive it to IL.
I am buying from a used car dealer, but doing my own financing.
I have the money all figured out, as my credit union has a partner credit union in FL that will cut the check for me.
There seems to be some issue with the title as the dealer is saying they need to pay an agent $250 to have the title sent to the lien holder in IL.
I would think, as long as he has the money and knows where the title is to go, all I need from him are a set of FL temp plates.
Is there something I am missing about FL title transfer laws (Or maybe insurance laws)?
