Finally took delivery of the G580, just one day before the snow storm here in the northeast! But I was really disappointed that the truck with all of its capability is just sitting inside the garage not going anywhere due to the factory Falken summer tires that it came with!

Why would MB equip this truck with summer tires is beyond my understanding.

What kind of aftermarket tires do you guys use/recommend? All season is a must, but I'm open to some on road AT tires too.

Any photo would be appreciated as well.

Also wasn't thrilled with the OEM tires living in Seattle, I've been thinking of changing for the Pirelli Scorpions all season.

 

I switched over to Scorpions on mine (and changed the wheels) and it has been fine.

I installed Bridgestone Alenza Prestige. I live in the Chicago area and had them installed this past October. I’m really pleased with them and would make the same purchase.

 

If you plan to use an a/s tire year round, buy one that's 3MPSF rated. I have Geolandars on my G, CC2s on my X7, and Nokian Outposts on my Rubicon.

 

I liked the wheels / tires that are on my G63 so picked up a set for my 580, the Michelin Latitude tires have been fantastic this past winter too
