Changes pending for the G?
Hi all, i am seriously thinking of grabing one of the G classes before they are gone. I am not in a rush and I don't expect body changes, but I would really like to see the little things like DVD based Nav, etc.
Does anyone know the real plans for these things. I HATE the 7G tranny, since it shifts so harshly (not MB like at all) so that is no selling point to me. I am looking for more of the interior upgrades that the E class has.
Any news? I've heard that it will stay till 2010, but I don't know enough about details.
Lastly, is there any way to get a short wheel based one here in the US, or would I have to import it myself (not practical enough)?

Do a thread search - someone just posted an authoritative source on the changes.
Without checking my files, changes are minimal in interior, basically non-existant for the exterior other than a couple of new colors and xenons (not even sure that they are bi-xenons).
No DVD Nav.
No 7-speed tranny.
Wait and buy a new one - they'll be here in a couple of months....
