I too have been looking at a G to do a CDI conversion . I don't know how often this site gets updated, but it may lead you in the right direction.

Why new? the 7g? Nope, hate it. the Xenons?hmm, questionable. They decided NOT to add what i really wanted (DVD NAV). If you know why to wait let me know and i will.
