Latest update on US 2007 MY G-Class, due to certification delays, the wholesale/retail release of the Model Year 2007 G-Class is now expected for January 2007. The first 2007MY G-wagens are already arriving at VPC, but cannot be released until regulatory issues are resolved. Shipments of G-wagens to the US has been halted as a result.

Hey Vadim, can you somehow email or fax me an order sheet for the G? I am getting ready to get it and want to finalize the bits.

Also, if the importation is on hold, what does that mean to me? I can or can not place an order? Is it just a matter of waiting longer? I'm in no hurry to take delivery, if I need to wait to get exactly what I want.

Dealers order the cars through a program called NetStar.

NetStar has a Configurator that allows you to configure the car. It also cheks to see whether your configuration is acceptable by factory. There are also ordering books, but they are more like a MBUSA website in print.

Right now the configurator only shows colors for interior and extrior for G500. Packages and other options are blank.

In lue of many options or the '07s being in the VPC, what about a Grey '06? You have any or can locate one?

The G500 has a side exhaust that is located just in front of the driver's side rear wheel & tire. As far as looks, it does not have the chrome tips as the AMG has.
