Time for an upgrade. I'm selling the OEM wheels which came with my 2002 G500. You can buy 4 or 5, with or without tires. They have Yokohama Geolander H/T 265/60VR18 high performance mud + snow tires. The wheels and tires are in excellent condition with a total of 11k miles on them.

The wheels themselves cost $540 from dealers. I'm selling a set of four with tires for $1800.

I'm trying to find the wheels off the 2003 G55 AMG, but they aren't available just yet. I'm going to check with a friend in Germany as well. They are better than the current AMG wheels for the G-class. I saw a G500 with those at my dealership and I frankly think the stock wheels look better.

The new G55 wheels are 18x9.5, the current AMG Style I wheels are 18x8.5, and the stock wheels are 18x7.5. The design of the new wheels is called "AMG Slotted Monoblock" and the standard tires on those are Yokohama AVS S/T (285/55VR18). I've attached a picture.

I'm sticking with 18" wheels because I do enjoy going off-road and anything bigger is not going to work.

btw, you should see what Terrell Owens (49ers receiver) did to his G500...he had 24" wheels put on! I have not seen them in person (saw picture only)...the mb dealer who sold it to him was showing me.

Several present and past 49ers have G500's. When I picked mine up, the dealer told me that this was only the third G500 they had delivered and that the first two went to Joe Montana and one other 49er.

That's funny. We picked up our G500 on December 9'th at the same dealer. I was told that we had the first G500 and that Joe Montana would have his on the next truck from the port of LA.

I wonder If I'm that 49er they are talking about.
