I've had absolutely no problems, but others have had problems with some of the electronics...that's a problem many MB models have had recently. There are issues with sensors that trigger false warnings related to the traction control systems and brake-assit feature. I've seen on other forums that it appears Mercedes now has a handle on these issues and they are getting resolved.

Mechanical reliability is outstanding. Engine, running gear, body, etc. are top-notch. Road handling won't be as good as your X5, but it's not bad. Heck, I upgraded from a BMW M Roadster and it wasn't much of a problem.

If you can afford it, you might consider the 2003 G55 AMG. That thing is a monster!

The old expression fits here: If you have to ask, you probably can't afford it.

About 14mpg on Premium Unleaded.

I obviously should have put a smiley in my message. That's been corrected.

Smile and enjoy the roses. Life's too short any other way.
