G500 Electrical issues

When the key is removed from the vehicle, I can still turn on the radio and have full control of the seat adjustments on my 07 G500. My understanding is that you have the control of the seats only when the key is in position "I" or the engine is turned on. Any experiences?

thanks

Frank

There are a few reasons why this happens and they all only apply if your battery is not more than 90% dead and all apply without use of a key.

1. You are always able to turn on and off your radio and interior/exterior lights
2. The moment you open any door, approximately 34 computers turn on.
3. With the drivers door open and the passenger door closed you can adjust the drivers seat but not the passenger. And visa versa. (Basically your door has to be open to adjust your seat if you do not have the key)
4. With regards to the situation you are talking about, you probably have your door open when you take your key out and that is why you can adjust your seat.

hope this helps
