does anyone know whether the MY2007 Gs were prewired for the MY2007.5 and MY2008 backup camera?

i've found an MY2007 G at an MB dealer, where the service manager claims to be able to install and connect the genuine MB backup camera with little fuss.

please let me know your thoughts.

I was looking at a 2007 G55 that my local dealer brought in and at that time, NO AVAILABILITY of Rear-back-up Camera and was told that would be something offered in 2008 here in Canada.

Sure enough...2008's have it, so depending on your country's destination, I can comment here in Canada...NO GO.

On my 1993 BRABUS G36 I installed an aftermarket backup camera.

It is left of the license plate in the photo below.
