G500 Miles? and Dog Guards

Out of curiosity, how many miles should reasonably be on a NEW truck, that has not been driven other than factory, port, onto the transport truck and then dealer prep?

Opinions????

Oh yeah, what are people doing about a dog guard for their trucks?

Most G-Class vehicles are given a test drive at the factory. Upper limit should be 40-50, though most are around 30. Mine had 46, and the G55 I test drove a couple weeks ago had 33.

I bought the Luggage Protection Net for the G-Class in Europe and it does exactly what you want...creates a mesh seperation between the cargo area and the rest of the cabin. US dealers don't sell it, but there is a picture of it in your manual. Strange. It cost me about $250. I think ORC sells them as well: http://www.orc.de/
