Not worth it.
The G55 is the least modified AMG vehicle on the market. The only mechanical differences are the engine and suspension. Besides, there are only about 300-400 units coming to the US this year (less than any other AMG model), and it probably makes sense to keep all G-Class vehicles together since many of the issues faced or interests are the same.
I don't anticipate many 5700 lbs G55's spending a lot of time on a track racing.
