I am looking for a used G500 , an 02 to 04 with 60~70K mileage. Anyone had any major problem with your G-Class. Or any tips ... suggestion..?

Thanks

The 02's and early 03's were probably the most trouble prone of all the years. Lots of electronic glitches.

A good friend has a 2002 with nearly 150k miles, and according to him the only unscheduled work needed was to replace the driver's side power seat switch.

G classes seemed to be somewhat exempt from the issues that were on some other models, perhaps due to the separate plant...

Not so for US models in 2002 and early 2003. Your friend was the exception and very lucky.

Dutch, would you stay away from a low mileage '04 CPO? I'm looking at one right now and a little worried about it's age. Looks to be in very nice condition, but are there any things I should look into other than asking for a dealer print-out of repairs/services?

Should be OK, but do get a readout of the service history.
