Hi all, I've recently bought a 1986 G280 LWB from a friend. Always loved the look of the G-wagen. I live in Indonesia and prices for a new G are completely ridiculous given the import duties. Just wondering whether it would be possible to upgrade the engine and look to g500 or g550? The 2.8 L engine is painfully slow. A friend of mine had suggested that we import a used 1998 G500 engine. Also is it possible to order a new modern dashboard and speedometer? The '86 look is not what I'm after. Thanks for your suggestions in advance.
